Hump Day Fun

Sad Katie

I found a couple more foreign covers a few weeks ago, and have neglected to post them. I shall do so now, just because I get a kick out of seeing them (and I really must, must, must add them into my website–I just keep forgetting to do so).

The first cover is for Sex and the Single Vampire. I have to say, I like these German covers. The colors are very pretty, and the images are kind of fun. This edition will be out in August.

The second cover is for Even Vampires Get the Blues, which will be out in October. This publisher is the same one who recently bought the German rights to a couple Aisling books, so I’m very anxious to see what they do for those covers.

Another bit of fun: Barbara Vey, who blogs on the Publishers Weekly site, let me know that she has a review of Holy Smokes up in today’s blog. I’m always thrilled to hear of people who enjoy one of my books enough to include it in their blog. Oh, who am I fooling–I’m just thrilled to know people like them, period. I’m easy that way.

And finally, the Hump Day Question! This question has its roots in the fact that I’m very impatiently awaiting the arrival of a bunch of gemstone beads I recently ordered for a super-secret project that I will be unveiling soon. I am so anxious for these beads to come, I’m fairly frothing at the mouth, which just makes me yell at myself for having such a lack of patience. So my question is this: are you, in general, a patient person?

Not at all! I'm one of the most impatient people you'll ever meet (or not meet, since this is online!). One of my pet peeves are people who attempt to walk and text message at the same time...get out of the way, people! :)

I am so so impatient.

FYI: For anyone who doesn't know German, the first title literally translates to "No Vampire for a night". I'm not sure what the second one translates to. Vampire in something... not sure what Schottenrock means.

According to Babelfish, Schottenrock means "Scot skirt." So "kilt." I'm a German 16th c. military reenactor and some of our guys wear something called a Waffenrock which translates to "weapon skirt." They're soldiers so it makes sense...

So the title would translate to "Vampire in a kilt."

Um... okay...

In general, yes. I only suffer from occasional bouts of "OMG, why is this taking so long!"

I'm patient but not... It depends on what it is.

Great beads by the way... I'm totally into beads from an artist friend of mine... www.tiffanymccoy.com

It amazes me that she *MAKES* these beads... But the gemstone ones are way fun!!!

Yes, but it all depends on what I'm waiting for. Your books not so much. Needlework supplies and other stuff, yea.

I never used to be, but when my son was born I kinda had to learn how to be patient...I've gotten a LOT better but when it comes to me getting presents, I can't wait and demand to know what I'm getting and when!

Yes with two exceptions: crowds and work. Crowds make me nuts--for mercy's sake, don't people have someplace to be besides stro-o-o-o-lling right in front of me? And at work, well, it's too horrible to think about right now.

In general yes, but at the same time there are definately periods in my life where I wish that I could just skip over a year or so. Mostly when I'm coming up on a transitional phase, such as the one coming up (me moving to South Korea, where I thankfully know 2 people).
