Hump Day Headache

  • Jul. 16th, 2008 at 12:29 PM
Sad Katie

I have a headache. I think it's an eye strain headache, brought about by too much time at the laptop instead of the desktop (I'm farsighted, so things up close give me grief). Which means it's going to be time for another visit to the optometrist to see if my eyes have changed enough to warrant new lenses. So fun (actually, I don't mind shopping for glasses. I like trying on all the ones that I would never really wear).

But I did get a morsel of fun news in the midst of my headacheyness: Playing With Fire is up in today's batch of reviews on a PW blog. Yay for a nice review.

Today's question may well be a repeat, but since these things change, I figure it's worth revisiting: what is your favorite scent/smell/odor?

I truly love the scent of lavender. Or my husband's cologne, Nautica. But nothing, absolutely nothing, beats the smell of fresh baked bread.

Mint is one of the most relaxing scents for me. I also love the smell that comes out of the oven when I'm baking cookies, cakes or apple pies.

Since I’m on a diet anything baked smells good – bread, cookies, muffins, turkey, salmon, --- and the list goes on and on ---- {giggle}

Scent
Vanilla. Sandalwood and vanilla mixed. I agree with Hubby's scent (Allure Homme White Edition by Chanel). Hard to pick.

The smell of rain at the end of a hot summer day. I sleep with the window open :)

My favorite smell EVER is the smell of a new book! Especially, a new Katie book (grin).

Morning! Cologne!
yes, the morning does have a smell. It's beautiful and fresh and hopeful. I love watching the sun through my window and breathing in deep that great smell.
And cologne! Oh my goodness, whenever I go to stores in the mall I pass right by the perfume and spray myself with cologne. I love it! I mean it's working, the smell is attracting me, the woman, to it, and if a guy were wearing it, I would be all over him (haha). But I guess it works so well that I want the smell with me, man present or not :]
